Maple Grove Farms Sugar-Free Raspberry Vinaigrette

Maple Grove Farms Sugar-Free Raspberry Vinaigrette is tasty, gluten-free, and a nice way to add flavor to your salad without many extra calories.

Maple Grove Farms Sugar-Free Raspberry Vinaigrette Salads are incredibly healthy for you. But many times you undo the nutritional benefit of the salad by glopping on literally hundreds of calories in salad dressings. Many dressings out there are chock-full of sugars for no reason at all.

Even the light versions of salad dressings are often still 10g of carbs and 60 or more calories. And that's just for 2 Tablespoons.

I was quite intrigued when I saw the Maple Grove Farms of Vermont salad dressing on my store shelf. Compared with all the other dressings, the numbers on this dressing are astounding. Only 5 calories per serving. That's right, 5, not 50 or 250. There's only 1g of carbs. No fat at all. Plus you get 8% of your Vitamin C.

The ingredient list is great. Water, cider vinegar, cucumber juice, seasonings, raspberry juice concentrate ... there's no sugar on here at all! Of course you'd expect that with a sugar-free product, but somehow other salad dressings still manage to fill up with a variety of unhealthy items. Here it all seems quite lovely.

There is o protein, and there is 160mg of sodium. It is gluten free and allergen free (I suppose they mean no peanuts, milk, etc.)

The flavor is light and fresh, and as you might imagine it tastes like raspberries. So if you're not a fan of raspberries, you probably won't like this. If you do enjoy raspberries, it adds a delightful flavor to your salads.

I suppose one potential downside is that this isn't a big name brand. So it might not be available anywhere. I'd be interested in hearing from my readers if they can find this product outside of the New England area. On the up side, it appears you can buy them from the company's website at MapleGrove.com for $2.50 each, which, while not cheap, to me is well worth it to have a pretty much zero-calorie salad topping. I eat a salad every day for lunch, and it's important to me to be able to do that gladly.

Well recommended.
