Recipe II
Ingredients
- 1 batch marinara sauce (or 26 ounce jar of marinara sauce)
- 1 pound ground beef, browned
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 1 pound rigatoni pasta, uncooked
- 3 cups mozzarella cheese
- 1 can sliced mushrooms, with water from mushrooms
- 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp dried oregano
Directions
- In the crock-pot layer the browned ground beef, onion, pasta, marinara sauce, mushrooms, rosemary, oregano, and olives. Add the mozzarella cheese last.
- Cover and cook for 5 hours on low.
Note: If you want to go low-carb leave out the pasta. This variation also makes a great pizza dip recipe.
It's not necessary to cook the ground beef for the meat to be cooked, but it will tend to cook into one large clump.
