  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients, except the mozzarella cheese, in your crock-pot.
  2. Cover the crock-pot, cover, and cook on low for 5-6 hours.
  3. Ladle into bowls and top with 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese.

Recipe II

Ingredients

  • 1 batch marinara sauce (or 26 ounce jar of marinara sauce)
  • 1 pound ground beef, browned
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 pound rigatoni pasta, uncooked
  • 3 cups mozzarella cheese
  • 1 can sliced mushrooms, with water from mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup black olives, sliced
  • 1 tsp dried rosemary
  • 1 tsp dried oregano

Directions

  1. In the crock-pot layer the browned ground beef, onion, pasta, marinara sauce, mushrooms, rosemary, oregano, and olives. Add the mozzarella cheese last.
  2. Cover and cook for 5 hours on low.

Note: If you want to go low-carb leave out the pasta. This variation also makes a great pizza dip recipe.
It's not necessary to cook the ground beef for the meat to be cooked, but it will tend to cook into one large clump.
