Lord of the Rings Walkthrough:
Mines of Moria: All Three Characters
3 statues and switch. Pull switch - open door. "Old Secrets". Door won't open without a key.
Go to the book at the coffin Read it X to read about the last days of the dwarves. Use 5 fireworks blast to get the cave troll, then blast the generators. Get the runic key from the last to fall. Now go the glimmering door on the right (when facing the exit) to get the Axe of Durin. Gimli takes it. There is only ONE scene where Gimli fights later on - he takes on maybe 3 orcs. Is this axe really worth it? You never get any 'credit' on your quest list or anywhere else about this. And you can't check Gimli's inventory to even see that he has it!
anyway, 'use' the key on the big door.
Now Aragorn takes over. You fight the orcs. Hit the lever so the cart goes down atrack. Then head downstairs. Note in this that you'll find arrows - SAVE AT LEAST 3 because you need them at the end. Shoot the next group of monsters from the stairs - often they won't come up after you.
cart spot #2, hit it - on it rolls.
now head down to the locked door at the end. Shoot the switch above you right next to the door. Do NOT shoot the one further away from the door. Now go back to the cart and shoot the back end of it. It'll roll down to that second switch. Now shoot out the second switch and it'll blast through the door.
Now you're Frodo.
Pull the switch to the left to open the door. A switch to the left of the entry lowers a bridge. Clear out that area. Climb up the rock in the middle on both sides for various goodies.
Go back around to the pressure plate in the floor. Go up the ramp to above it and push down the stone. Be careful going down - it's easy to fall! Push the stone onto the pressure plate to open the door.
Go back around to the bridge. When you cross it, orcs come and Gimli fights them. Guess that's his use for the axe. You get a N sword here when the fighting's done. What's that sword for? You can't use it, and Aragorn and Gandalf already have their own swords. Go to the end of the path. The pillar there has a nearly invisible ladder cut into it. Climb up the pillar, go across the top and climb down the other side. Run through, grab the runic key, and use it quickly!
Now you're Gandalf again. The Balrog comes. It's Gandalf's last moments in the game, so enjoy them. First, whack the Balrog a lot - stay in close to him. Soon he'll throw down his sword. Now run far from him and light beam him a lot, dodging the fire. Aragorn will keep throwing you magic so just keep beaming him until he goes down.
