Lord of the Rings The Two Towers Walkthrough
How the Game Works & Basic Keys
This game is a bit confusing to start out with. You're watching a movie about the 'prologue' and enjoying it, wondering when the game is going to begin. Then suddenly it expects you to be doing things! It's trying to make you feel like you're part of the movie :) But it also means the game can be confusing in general.
OK, there's one "path" through the game. For the first two chapters, you have a set person. Chapter 1 is Isildur. Chapter 2 is Aragorn. But for the remaining chapters, you can choose to be Aragorn, Legolas, or Gimli. Let's say you choose Aragorn for Chapter 3. You play that chapter. At the end you get a score. You can either accept that score and go on to chapter 4, or you can replay it. If you replay it, you lose whatever your previous score is. If you accept, that score is now set in stone for Aragorn for chapter 3 and he can't replay it. He can go on to Chapter 4, or you can go back to play one of the other two characters.
Your score is traded in for upgrades. The more points you get on a level, the better upgrades you can buy for your character. Meaning more health, better weapons, better attacks and so on.
Your basic keys are:
square: defend/block
X: speed attack
triangle: strong attack
circle: kick/push
You learn other better attacks as the game goes on, by trading in the points.
There is no adventuring or quests, that's in the "other" game, the one based on the book. In this game it's solely button-mashing, and you can win the entire game (for a given character) in about 5 hours.
