Chapter Eight - Dissension
This gets even nastier than that kill-all-townspeople mission. At least they were doomed. In this mission, you decide to burn your own ships and lie to your own troops!
OK, first, the king commands that you allr eturn, and warns that the roads are held by the undead. Arthas won't listen to this. Instead he decides to burn his own ships (5 of them) so his troops can't leave him and will be forced to stay and fight. You only have 25 minutes before the troops get to the ships and leave.
Ignore the units in your base - they won't pay attention to you. All you have is your three dwarf companions. Take them and head left immediately. There are a few enemies along the way, then you hit the first of several mercenary camps. Hire every single unit. You'll come across a potion of mana. Go slowly so that you don't lose anybody - don't worry, you have plenty of time. Heal up. In the very top left of the map is a goblin nightscope along the narrow path. This lets you see further at night, doh.
OK, you hit ship #1 at 19:00. You can either have your dwarves blast it or your dwarf-hero cast a spell at it. Glug glug.
On past the Nerubian Queen on the left who gives you (ahem) claws of attack +12 and a potion of greater mana. OK, maybe "gives" isn't the right word. You hit ship #2 at around 17:00.
Another mercenary camp, and now night crawlers. Nothing too tough. Your forces are getting larger though. Ship #3 is at around 15:00 with drakes and goblin merchant nearby. Now you get the video warning - there's a long corridor of death before you with lots of zappy-things along it. Get yourself healed and armored as best you can and just run through it. I suppose you could fight your way down if you really wanted to, but it's not worth the bother.
Ship #4 at around 13:00. You've got oodles of time to go the very short distance to the last ship. There are a lot of enemies there, but you can just run through. Or you can fight through to build up experience. It's up to you. Either way, you get to the last ship with plenty fo time and sink it.
Now you go lie to your troops and say the bad guys sunk the ships - and that these mercenaries with you are those bad guys!! So now you kill off your own mercenaries. Not very nice.
