Warcraft III: Reign of Chaos Walkthrough
Chapter Nine - Frostmourne
The dwarf is pretty disgusted with you. As well he should be. But he agrees to help out. Mal'Ganis says you're trapped and will die. You're surrounded and it looks pretty hopeless. So you convince your dwarfie-friend to take the waygate with you and go in search of the frostmourne blade.
You start out with just 5 units and the quest to find the blade. You hit some wolves that you get a ring of protection +3 from. A mana fountain and a few more monsters, potion of greater mana and a tom of agility that gives you permanent +1. There's a town you can ignore and a graveyard with ghosts. You find the guardian who is in fact protecting you from the blade, but you kill him and his minions fall immediately. Now you get frostmourne.
It's cursed, but you don't care. You take it anyway and when you do, the crystal shatters and kills the dwarf. Oh well. Now you're down by the lower area, and must destroy Mal'Ganis. There's a big base to the southeast - kill that. Now head north to the ice trolls and get a halth stone. Head back and kill the attack on your base. Now north to more ice trolls, east and south to spiders with healing wands and a potion of mana.
There's lots of air units here so have tons of rifles withyou. Just work your way through the base. It' sslow but easy. I just needed 3 gryphons and 8 riflemen. You kill Mal'Ganis with the blade.
Now you lose your sanity and head home to Lordaeron. You storm home with gorgeous cinematics and kill the king. This is the end of the human set of missions.
