Aspartic Acid and Aspartame

Aspartic acid makes up 40% of aspartame - Nutrasweet. Just what is aspartic acid, and how does your body process it?

Aspartic acid is an amino acid. It binds up with magnesium, and interferes with calcium. It's considered "non essenetial" in that your body can create it if you eat a healthy diet. Part of what aspartic acid does is bind with ammonia and help it get expelled from your body.
