Affordable Colleges Online (ACO)

As we all know, attending an accredited academic institution can be costly but necessary to obtain a job that offers a decent salary and long-term benefits. Many individuals struggle with the initial step of determining an area of study, but once that choice is finally made; the next hurdle is identifying which colleges to apply to. This can be a daunting task, particularly if one has little personal time to conduct the necessary research. Since its inception in 2012, ACO has remained committed to making college more affordable and to spreading the importance of acquiring an accredited degree. They also help college applicants find the right online program for their areas of interest.

ACO provides in-depth resources that address topics, questions, and concerns related to higher education—with an eye on affordability and accreditation. Resources include comprehensive guidebooks, student interviews, user-friendly search tools, federal datasets, and other materials created and vetted by experts in various fields. The ACO foundation is composed of six PhD holders and more than twenty journalists, editors, and subject matter specialists with master's degrees and related credentials.

When visiting the ACO website, one is prompted to “Start Your Search Now!” by selecting three items: degree level, area of interest (e.g., computers and information technology), and subject (e.g., data management). Search results display the most affordable and accredited universities or colleges available online. How easy is that? ACO also provides online program searches by state. The results display a listing of colleges broken down by city and highest student population per college. Details also list the highest-ranking online college in the state along with cost of tuition, fees, financial assistance, and scholarship resources. The website is user-friendly and provides all the information one could need to select the right college. ACO is a great resource for anyone interesting in locating an accredited online degree program.
