Health food stores are the common meeting ground for people who are frustrated with traditional health medicine and wish to explore alternative ways to improve their health. Angelica Root
The ancients named the herb Angelica because it was thought that the plant could ward off evil influences and cure illness. The purplish plant has a very distinct and pleasant odor and is thought safe to consume the herb in small controlled quantifies. Angelica roots distinct flavor is certainly apparent in many popular liqueurs. Herbalists recommend the herb to cure gas, stomach ailments, and migraines. Herbalist warn pregnant women and those with diabetes to avoid taking this herb. The herb negatively affects pregnant women and causes menstruation. It also might affect blood pressure.

Arnica
This herb is a member of the sunflower family. The herb was used by early European settlers and Native American to treat various medical conditions. Warning: It is recommended for external application only. Arnica external preparations in ointment form are thought to successfully treat sprains, bruising, skin discoloration, and inflammation.
