Shea butter is a fatty substance obtained from the nut of the Shea tree. Shea butter is a popular ingredient added to a number of body care and cosmetic products. Take a look at the main ingredients label on products like shampoos, conditioners, lip gloss, lip balms, ointments, scrubs and lotions. You will quickly discover that Shea butter is an ingredient. In fact, Shea butter is a highly prized emollient, and skin moisturizer. The emollient promotes cell growth and smooths out wrinkles on the body. Previously, I reviewed a wonderful, but pricey body scrub that contains Shea butter. How would you like to make a similar Shea butter body scrub for less? Take a look at the following Shea butter body scrub recipe. This is a very easy recipe. Get creative and add your own unique touch. For example, add your favorite essential oil, use brown sugar, or a different type of carrier oil.

Several Drops Vitamin E Oil
Favorite Essential Oil Several Drops

Body Scrub Directions
Take Shea butter and add it to a mixing bowl. Beat the mixture with a spoon until it starts to look creamy.
Add the sweet almond oil slowly to the mixture and blend thoroughly.
Blend in the Vitamin E oil.
Add essential oil.
Stir in the sugar slowly until the mixture thickens
What I like to do is to pour the mixture into a decorative container that has a lid and store it away for later use. Of course, you could use it immediately if you prefer.
