Why would anyone require a natural hand sanitizer? Well, germs are everywhere in the surroundings. Germs are in the things that people touch each day. For example, that door handle, keys, glasses, cups, combs, brushes, keyboards, computer screens, remote controls, desks, chairs, steering wheels, clothing, makeup, shoes, pocket change or bill folder, kids, pets, and adults! Well, that sums up at least half the things in the environment. Those germs invade the body and cause all kinds of health concerns.

What are germs? Germs include bacteria, viruses, fungi, and protozoa. Special attention should be focused on bacteria. Bacteria lives in the environment and the body. Bacteria causes infections. Infections cause sickness. People get sick all the time because of exposure to bacteria living and growing in their environment.

Research studies discovered that washing the hands several times a day decreases exposure to bacteria and germs. Well, the fact is that it is difficult to wash hands while on the go. Consequently, a good natural hand sanitizer would destroy that bacteria. Natural hand sanitizers are great because there is a certain degree of control over the ingredients in the hand sanitizer. Also, most mass produced hand sanitizers contain chemicals that are not good for one's health or the environment. Check out these easy to make natural hand sanitizer recipes.

Natural Hand Sanitizer Recipe One
This recipe is very easy to prepare. Some of the ingredients are probably already in your home.

Natural Hand Sanitizer Ingredients

1 cup aloe vera gel squeezed from leaves of the plant
1 teaspoon vegetable glycerin
3 tablespoons rubbing alcohol
Several drops of your favorite essential oil (lavender, tea tree, and lemon)

Take the ingredients above and pour them into a blender or stir by hand. Mix the ingredients for about 2 minutes or until smooth. Pour the mixture into a bottle and cap it tightly. Store in a dark area to preserve the contents. Lavender essential oil, tea tree essential oil and lemon essential oil are natural germ killers.

Natural Hand Sanitizer Recipe Two
This is another variation that requires tea tree and peppermint essential oils.

Natural Hand Sanitizer Ingredients

1 cup aloe vera gel natural from a plant
1 teaspoon alcohol
3 drops tea tree essential oil
3 drops peppermint essential oil

Mix the ingredients together in a bowl. Store the ingredients in a container with a pump. Did you know that tea tree essential oil and peppermint essential oil have great antiseptic qualities which are natural germ killers? Remember to carry a hand sanitizer in a tote and leave one in the home for complete germ protection.
