As you can see from the list, many of the carminatives are herbs that many people cook with. Basil, black pepper, cinnamon, and thyme are just a few from this list that you can find in most kitchens. This means that when cooking with these herbs, you are placing digestive herbs in your foods. As you are eating your meals, you are also consuming carminatives. Flavoring your foods are also ways to treat your body from a medicinal perspective.

When food is consumed, the digestion process is used to process it. Carminatives help stimulate the digestive system and eliminate gas as it helps foods get processed correctly. A well-working digestive system helps keep the body working and even helps in keeping the body healthy.
