As if we needed any study to show us this. A massive review of obesity studies has shown that losing weight brings many health benefits.
The study covered 136 obesity studies done around the world. The question was - how does reducing obesity in an individual help their health?
The results were staggering:
* 86% had better sleep and reduced sleep apnea
* 70% had better cholesterol
* 77% became non-diabetic
* 62% lowered their blood pressure
With almost 66% of all adults in the US currently falling into the overweight category, these studies are of critical importance. Adults need to learn to eat more healthily, and to get more exercise, before their health becomes a burden on them, their families and on society.
A separate study done by the NPD group finds that the obesity rate in the US has finally held level after many years of growth. More people are paying attention to the sugar in their diets and trying to eat fresh, healthy food.
In an amazing statistic, the average US resident eats out 117 times a year. That averages about once every three days. It shows just how powerful the offerings in fast food restaurants are in managing the health of a person.
