There are 6g of carbs per serving, so if you make this a lunch soup along with a salad, you are still keeping your total daily carbs quite low. Also, chicken soup has been proven to help you lose weight - because it fills you up with water and nutrients, rather than empty calories.
The soup is a bit salty for me, but I am pretty sensitive to salt. It has 720mg of salt, i.e. 30% of your daily intake. But if this is one meal out of three, that makes sense. Most instant soups are VERY high in salt so if anything this one is pretty reasonable.
How about the taste though? I normally drink the chicken noodle soup kind of instant soup, and didn't find this "cream" version to be very creamy. It's still very thin and brothy. But you can't expect too much cream from a powdered mix :) It definitely has more of a mouth-feel than the straight chicken noodle soup does. And I have to say I like this better than the noodle soup, because the noodles in the instant soups aren't exactly high quality. I'd rather just have this rich broth to keep me warm and fill me up.
Perfect to keep in your desk or on your shelf as a quick filler-up - something that is warm, tasty, and not high in calories. Water is critical for staying healthy, and this is a great way to get water into you!
