If you're working to maintain a healthy weight, often you turn to shakes as mid-day snacks or early morning quick breakfasts. The Mocha Latte is pretty tasty!
The shake is an easy to carry foil box with 11oz of drink in it. You can drink it right out of the container, although I like to pour these over ice to drink them. There are only 1g of carbs per shake, with 110 calories, 15g protein and 99% fat free. There are 0g of trans fats in here. There are also a ton of vitamins.
I like to drink a shake as a quick breakfast when I can't have something else. It is SO important to eat regularly - every 3-4 hours - to keep your metabolism going smoothly. Yes, it's always best to have a 'real' meal with nutritious veggies and food items. But being realistic, that isn't always possible. Having a shake that's loaded with vitamins is much better than either eating junk food or starving yourself. If your body thinks it's going to starve, it goes into fast mode, and stops burning calories. This is NOT good for any diet.
My one complaint with this Mocha Latte is that it seems to have caffeine in it. This might be great for people who are still including caffeine in their diet, but I personally have pretty much removed caffeine from my diet and feel much better having done that. So when I now have something with caffeine in it, it makes me feel really jittery and unwell.
So for me personally, although I liked the flavor a lot, I wouldn't be having them regularly. For a person who does eat caffeine at least occasionally, this would probably be perfect!
