5 Simple Steps for Natural Joint Pain Relief

Believe it or not, our body works a lot like the Tin Man in the Wizard of Oz. And, just like the Tin Man, there are some simple steps you can take to achieve natural pain relief from joint pain.

To keep your body moving easily, you need well-nourished, lubricated and limber joints.

And since osteoarthritis (OA) is by far the most common joint disorder causing pain and inflexibility, it’s best for you to start with a healthy osteoarthritis diet that includes good oils (to keep you from rusting like Tin Man), plus regular moderate exercise for flexibility.

Here are the main symptoms of osteoarthritis, which usually begin slowly:These osteoarthritis symptoms may be barely noticeable to you in the beginning.

But here’s the most interesting thing about OA symptoms. Some people, whose joint x-rays show osteoarthritis, have no symptoms at all! Wouldn’t that be nice?

Osteoarthritis Diet and Lifestyle for Pain Relief

Osteoarthritis is the result of cartilage wearing out in weight bearing joints, mainly the knees, hips and spine. Cartilage is what cushions your bones at the joints, so that they can move easily. Cartilage also keeps your joints from grind against each other.

The slippery tissue of cartilage allows your joints to slide without friction.

Luckily, there are certain things that you can do to naturally prevent OA progression and help relieve the pain. Here are the five steps for natural osteoarthritis and joint pain relief:

1. Eat an Osteoarthritis Diet. Eating healthy foods and eliminating unhealthy food from your diet is essential for OA prevention and natural pain relief. It’s especially important for you to choose foods that are high in essential nutrients and good omega 3 oils:2. Get regular moderate exercise. Physical activity is also important for blood flow, muscle strength and flexibility. But don’t overdo it. Walking, yoga, biking and swimming are all good low-impact exercises.

3. Reach and maintain an ideal weight. Being overweight puts extra stress on your joints and bones. Studies show that overweight men and women have four to five times the risk of developing osteoarthritis in their knees compared to men and women of normal body weight.

4. Try neuromuscular massage & acupuncture. Studies show that acupuncture can relieve pain and improve flexibility in people with knee osteoarthritis. And message therapy increases blood flow and helps reduce tight muscles and fascia that can interfere with alignment.

5. Include supplements for OA prevention. Taking full-spectrum multi vitamin-mineral supplements helps assure that you’re getting all necessary nutrients. Also include extras of the following supplements to help reduce the pain, stiffness and swelling symptoms of osteoarthritis. My highest recommendation for natural joint pain relief supplements can be found here.

Osteoarthritis is generally considered to be an inevitable part of aging. But this doesn’t have to be true for you. Just follow the above OA diet and guidelines for prevention and pain relief.
