Toot & Puddle You Are My Sunshine (ages 4-8) is another picture book in the popular Toot & Puddle series. Toot & Puddle are a pair of pigs created by Holly Hobbie. There is a great friendship between the pair of them.

In Toot & Puddle You Are My Sunshine Puddle is concerned about his friend, Toot. Toot is moping. Puddle wants to cheer him up.

They live in Woodcock Pocket. Everything is bright and sunny. The sky is blue and the flowers sway in the breeze, but Toot still mopes.

Puddle knows everybody mopes at some point in time, but he wants Toot to smile. He makes Toot's favorite dessert, a five-berry cobbler. Toot smiles, for a moment. Puddle tries again. This time he invites company for a party. Everyone comes and sings, but no smile from Toot.

Puddle tries numerous things to make his friend happy. He tries an adventure and a game. Puddle is not a friend only during the good times, but during the bad times as well.

A thunderstorm comes to Woodcock Pocket. There is lightning and thunder. Rain pours in buckets. The storm lasts all day and night.

The next day, the sun returns revealing the storm damage. Yet, there is an energy in the air. The sun is shining. And most important of all, Toot is shining! His head is up. He is wearing a bright smile.

Toot & Puddle You Are My Sunshine is a beautiful picture book for children on friendship. Friends, who care for each other, try to help each other. This is what Puddle tries to do. Don’t give up on a friend with a problem. Try, try again!
