Don Freeman's Classic Books Don Freeman was the writer and illustrator many children picture books during his lifetime. His most famous story is Corduroy. Infants, toddlers and young children enjoy Corduroy and his friend, Lisa. Not only do they enjoy Don Freeman Classic books, but the resulting films and television shows as well. Don Freeman became interested in children picture books after the birth of his son, Roy. Don and his wife, Lydia, wrote children books together. Freeman co-wrote with other authors too.
