Harry Potter Character Listing : Fleur Delacour

Fleur Isabelle Delacour was born in the spring in Paris. Her father, Monsieur Delacour is the French Minister of Magic. Margaret Delacour is her mother. She has a younger sister, Gabrielle.

Fleur Delacour’s name means a flower of the court. She attends the prestigious Beauxbatons Academy in France. The Beauxbatons Academy is the French wizard community's equilavent to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.

Fleur Delacour first appears in Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire. The young female wizard has dreams of being in the Tri-Wizard Tournament. The members of her family are not keen on it. Yet, Fleur continues to prepare herself so if the opportunity comes, she is ready.

The opportunity does come. Fleur leaves France for England. The Tri-Wizard Tournament is at Hogwarts. She is a player!

Fleur meets the Hogwarts’ characters. And, the tournament begins.

Blonde, blue-eyed Fleur Delacour is engaged to Bill Weasley in Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. He is captivated by the young woman. The other Weasleys wants her to go to the nearest portkey and disappear in France. She is nicknamed 'Phlegm' by Ginny Weasley.

By the end of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince, Fleur Delacour shows she is more than a beautiful woman. She is a woman who loves her man. When Bill is disfigured by Fenrir Greyfair, a werewolf, Fleur refuses to call off the wedding. This decison endears her to Mrs. Molly Weasley and Bill's younger sister, Ginny.

In Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Fleur Delacour is a member of the Order of the Phoenix. She helps remove Harry Potter from number four, Privet Drive. Miss Delacour marries William (Bill)Arthur Weasley. They live in Shell cottage by the sea. Bill Weasley only eats bloody meat since the werewolf attack. This meat she serves Bill. When Harry, Ron and Hermione are on the run, Fleur Delacour Weasley allows them to stay with no complaint.
