Low Fat Whipped Topping

Low Fat Whipped Topping

  • 1/3 cup evaporated skim milk
  • 1/2 tsp. unflavored gelatin
  • 1 T. cold water
  • 1 T. sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 T. lemon juice

Preparation -
Chill the evaporated milk for at least one hour. In a small saucepan, sprinkle the gelatin over the cold water Cook over low heat, stirring until the gelatin is dissolved. Pour the mixture into a bowl, add the chilled milk and beat the until stiff. Stir in the sugar, vanilla and lemon juice. Use immediately. Makes about 1/2 cup whipped topping.
