4C Cranberry Pomegranate Drink

If you're looking for a zero carb, zero calorie, 100% Vitamin C drink with cranberry and pomegranate in it, give this 4C Sugar Free drink a try.

4C has several flavors in their Totally Light series. My personal favorite happens to be the Raspberry Ice - I drink gallons of that every week. The Cranberry Pomegranate is a bit different from their normal flavor sets. Both cranberry and pomegranate are promoted for health reasons.

Cranberries are small, red berries that are grown in bogs. They were well known to native americans and colonials. Cranberries are chock full of Phytonutrients - i.e. plant based nutrients. Antioxidants are a well known phytonutrient. In fact, cranberries have far more antioxidants than most other fruits and veggies!

Cranberries have been linked to healthier heart, urinary tract, ulcer and dental situations. For example, tests find that components of cranberries can help to destroy mouth bacteria that lead to cavities.

Pomegranates are a little more exotic. They are peach-sized, rosy red fruits that come from northern India. They are chock full of vitamin C, along with a ton of folic acid and antioxidants.

So this is in general an antioxidant power punch. It has 100% of your daily vitamin C. There are zero carbs, zero fat, zero calories.

The drink comes in 7 tubs - each tub is dumped into a 2 quart pitcher and is pre-measured for you. While this might seem a bit silly at first, I have gotten myself a pretty glass pitcher and I keep this filled *all* the time. It is just so easy to open up a tub, dump it into the pitcher, and add water. No measuring, no fuss.

How about the flavor? The Raspberry Ice I love is like a bright red liquid jello. This cranberry pomegranate blend is much tarter, much more of a complex flavor. It's not sour like a lemon, but I'm sure most of us have tried cranberry at some point (Thanksgiving!) to have an idea of the flavors involved here. It's perfect for afternoon sipping, and would even make a great mixer for low carb cocktails.

Well recommended!
