Wonderful Red Wines - A Review

Fantastic wines don't have to cost an arm and a leg. These wines are reasonable but bring big flavors.

These wines are perfect for cooler weathers and the heartier meals that we crave. Each of these wines offers aromas and flavors to linger over with family and friends.

Foppiano 2002 Cabernet Sauvignon
The moment I tatsted this Russian River I said, 'This is what a red wine is suppossed to taste like.' It has intense aromas of blackberry and plum, with a hint of mint and smoke. The wine is full on the palate, with a good massive feel. This Cabernet has good balance with very fine, ripe tannins, and a nice finish. Serve this wine with hearty roasts, venison, and any other dish that needs a wine that can staned on its own.

Argiolas 2003 Costera
This southern Italian wine is a delight. This wine doesn't have the over powering intensity often associated with Italian reds. It is a refreshing red that offers aromas of cassis and black fruit. The flavors are filled with dark cherries and spice. The texture is smooth with well rounded tannins. This wine can be drunk now or enjoyed next year.

Big Ass Zin
Oh, a wine name for me! This red Zinfandel presents a mouthful of jammy black fruit flavors. This wine is lush and full of spice, blackberries, and raspberries. It's so good you'll want to spread it on your toast! This wine comes from the Adler Fels Winery in Napa Valley. Enjoy it with burgers, roasts, hearty cheeses, dark chocolate....Okay, drink it with almost anything!
