The henna plant (Lawsonia Inermis) is renowned in the Muslim world for its wonderful healing properties. Often called the "Magic Plant," it is commonly prescribed by Middle Eastern physicians for burns and pain relief. It also has excellent anti-microbial effects and can be used to decrease infection, warts, etc. Many women have already discovered henna as the secret to beautiful hair. You, too, can use this "Magic Plant" as a hair conditioner to make your hair feel thicker, give it more volume, and add a lovely and healthy shine! The essential oils used in my recipe below will stimulate hair growth and circulation, remove dandruff, and heal a dry scalp.
What You Will Need:
*Note: These items can be found at your local health food store
- 1/2 cup Henna*
- Boiling Water
- 1/2 tsp. Jojoba Oil*
- 3 drops Rosemary Essential Oil
- 3 drops Cedarwood Essential Oil

Your henna will come in a powdered form. Pour it into a salad bowl, and add enough boiling water to form a paste. Then add the jojoba and essential oils and mix well.
Massage the paste onto your hair from the roots to the tips. Leave it for at least 30 minutes.
***IMPORTANT!!!***
Use ONLY "neutral" henna. Some henna is used for hair coloring and can tint your hair a reddish color.
