Flower Power of The Rose

No matter what time of year it is, there's always a flower blooming some where on the planet. We enjoy their beauty through our eyes and our nose. There's nothing like the smell of a Rose.

This leads me into the article for this week. While some of you might feel that the Rose is dated as a perfume or perfume blend, it's made a come back in the world of scent. The Bulgarian Rose, which is rich and heady in its scent, dominates the fragrance of perfumers Alberto Morillas and Amandine ClereMarie. They created this blend for Salvatore Ferragamo, it's called Emozione Eau De Parfum. It's described as being topped off with notes of musk and suede. That can only mean one thing, you get Delicate -from the Rose - and Sensuous -from the musk and suede.

How Many Ways Can The Rose Be Used?

Not Just Perfumes - Perfumes are not the only place that see and experience the beauty of the Rose. Did you know that Rose essential oil is one of the secret ingredients in some of your most well known skin care products. When Rose is added to your beauty and skin care products, your skin absorbs more of the nutrients in a given product.

A recent Japanese study found that just by inhaling Rose essential oil, it decreased the effects that stress had on the skin. Inflammation and redness top the list when stress is triggered. Remember when you had a cold and your Grandmother would put Vicks vapor rub in a bowl and pour hot water over it? Then shed put your face over the bowl and cover it with a towel?

You can have a much more pleasant experience for your skin by adding a few drops of Rose essential oil to hot water and giving yourself a facial steam. Not only will it de-stress your skin, you'll feel more relaxed as well.

Raise Your Libido -Valentines Day without question, is the biggest day for the sale of Roses. However, two drops of the following oils, blended together into a carrier oil and rubbed on your neck or diffused in your home have been known to add magic to your rumble in the sheets.

2 drops Rose EO (essential oil)
2 drops Sandalwood EO
2 drops Jasmine EO
2 drops Ylang-Ylang

By adding these essential oils to grape seed oil, olive oil, coconut oil, jojoba oil or a combination there of, makes a great massage oil for your sensual rendezvous.

So, there you have it. Give the scent of Rose a try and see how it works in you life.

That's it for this week,

Life Never Smelled So Sweet!
