Chocolate Pecan Pie

Chocolate Pecan Pie

  • 1 cup light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1-1/2 cups pecan halves
  • 1 - 9" unbaked pie shell, in pan

Preparation -
In a large mixing bowl, combine the corn syrup, sugar, melted butter, vanilla and eggs; beat well. Stir in the chocolate chips and pecans. Spread the mixture evenly in an unbaked 9" pie crust. Bake in a preheated oven at 325° for 20 minutes. Cover top edge of pie crust with a narrow strip of foil to prevent over browning. Return to the oven and bake at 325°F. for 40 more minutes or until the filling is set. Remove the pie from the oven and cool completely on a wire rack before serving.
