Megan Wants A Millionaire- VH1’s new reality show
Megan Hauserman is the star of VH1’s new reality show named “Megan wants a Millionaire”. The premise; To become the “trophy wife” she aspires to be, Megan is set up with seventeen- millionaire bachelors- who have come to win her heart and apparently to lose some money in the process.
This tongue in cheek show provides for an entertaining hour of television as the quirky characters vying for Megan’s attention are put to the, often humiliating, test to see if they have what it takes to not only engage Megan with their charm and personality (which proves to be a difficult task for some of these strange men) but to quite literally buy her affections. Much of the show is narrated through Megan’s concierge who performs such functions as directing the men and providing suggestions for gifts for Megan from a veritable hotel like menu of items.
Megan Hauserman is one of many reality show contestants – as far as I have seen they are usually not the winner of the original show they appeared on- to go forward and become a “star” in their own rite. Megan apparently started her reality star career on a WB show called “Beauty and the Geek” then went on to appear in the first season of “Rock of Love”, another VH1 reality show original, starring Bret Michaels of the 80’s metal band “Poison”. After that came “I Love Money”; a VH1 show made up of rejected contestants from other reality shows all of whom were looking to strike it rich. Most recently Megan was a contestant on the show "Charm School".
I am sure that there are, or will be now, many anti-Megan viewers out there because Megan can be a bit much to take with her high-pitched voice and her brazen demand for men to buy her jewelry, clothing, and anything else she desires for no other reason than her striking looks. I am also certain that Megan will draw some new fans from this show. Love her or hate her, Megan Hauserman has successfully banked in on her fifteen minutes and seems to be here to stay for a while.
If you are looking for some mindless entertainment and you don't take it too seriously you might get a kick out of this show. On the other hand, it may make you shake your head and wonder about how low Reality TV can continue to go.
