Yoplait Fiber One Yogurt

Yoplait Fiber One Yogurt has 5 grams of fiber and 3g of protein per serving, for only 50 calories and 8g of net carbs. Plus you get 15% of your vitamin D.

I tried out the strawberry flavored version. This has aspartame as a sweetener, which I'm not keen on, but you're hopefully not eating 800 of these a day. As your occasional yogurt treat, this does well.

The serving size - be warned - is fairly small. Only 4oz in a cup! You might need to eat two of these to feel like you've gotten a normal snack amount of food into you.

The flavor, though, is fairly tasty. Smooth, creamy, a nice strawberry flavor to it, no odd tastes from the sweetener. They did do a good job making this a treat I would return to.

This does contain active yogurt cultures including L. Acidophilus. It's made with nonfat milk and kosher gelatin.

Nutrition wise you get 50 calories per serving, with none of those coming from fat. There is no fat at all in this - no saturated fat, no trans fat, nothing. There is 55mg sodium, or 2% your daily serving. You get 4% of your potassium, 10% vitamin A, 10% calcium, 15% vitamin D and 8% phosphorus. You also get 3g of protein.

Carb wise, there are 5g of fiber per serving. That leaves 8g of carbs per serving that affect you. It's not the lowest on the market - especially considering the tiny 4oz serving size - but it's not awful either. If you're going to be ingesting carbs, at least this way it is in order to eat something good for you, vs all the other junk items people ingest!

This comes in a four pack, so four 4-oz servings in little plastic cups with foil lids. They need to be refrigerated and have about a 3 week shelf life. So that's enough to eat through the pack - hopefully!

The cup is a #5 plastic, so you can even be a good doobie and recycle the cup with your plastic recycling!

At $2 a pack (at my local store) it's a fairly good bargain.

End result? I definitely recommend eating yogurt to keep your digestion going smoothly, and fiber is good for you too. Give this one a shot.

UPDATE: I've been eating these for over a year now and still enjoy them immensely. I've gotten used to their small size and find them to be a tasty, healthy treat.
