For all our family and friends, too,
We give our thanks Dear Lord to you.
For food to eat, for clothes to wear
For giving us the time to care
For teaching us that loving deeply
Lets us feel well, live completely.
As your children, young and old,
For all these gifts and more untold
We give our thanks Dear Lord to you.

Thanksgiving Day is not celebrated all over the world, but everyone, everywhere, has reasons to be thankful, whether it is for having a precious family, or having the basic necessities to survive.
When we apply ourselves we can earn what we need. The earth and sun provide so much, in fact all we need to sustain life. It is up to us to put forth the effort to take care of ourselves and families.
And with our extra time we can give to others who have less or are down on their luck. After all, the day may come whether from sickness or financial misfortune, that we need a hand up, too.
And, when we give from our heart with feelings of selflessness we immediately feel the warmth of goodness spread through our body and mind, making us the first recipients of our sharing.
On Thanksgiving Day let's remember to think about our connections with all humanity and offer up a prayer or meditation for our world-wide family.
