Adobe Portfolio - WYSIWYG Editor

Adobe Portfolio is free with a Creative Cloud membership and is a very easy-to-use WYSIWYG browser based website editor. Once you've created your Adobe ID and Creative Cloud membership, you can begin using Adobe Portfolio. Just go to https://www.myportfolio.com/.

When you start, you will have one default blank page in the Portfolio Editor (see screenshot). This is the page for the default gallery called 'work'. Let's take a tour of the workspace. On the right, is the Floating Remote and on the left is the Toolbar.

In the Toolbar, we have several icons for adding and managing content, editing settings, switching themes, viewing updates and your account. In the Floating Remote, you have drop-down menus for the current gallery (see screenshot), all galleries (see screenshot) and site-wide (see screenshot) controls. You can also preview and update your site.

In the middle, we have the default content in our work gallery page, which is the following.

Navigation
Masthead
Page Cover
Footer

At this point, the navigation menu has one link to the default work gallery page, which is the page we are viewing now. Of course, we can change the name of the gallery. As we add other pages, such as an about me or contact page, we will see links to these pages in the menu. We can also add links to external websites in the menu. For example, you might want to have a link to your company website. We will also be adding social icons.

Moving down from the menu, we have the default Masthead with a welcome message and 'scroll down' text link. Adobe Portfolio automatically grabs your name from your Adobe account and places it in the welcome message. As we work on our portfolio, we have the option to change the content in this Masthead or remove it.

Below the Masthead is the Add Page icon. The 'work' gallery can have as many pages as you wish. As on the Behance site, each page usually represents a project or collection of work. For example, you might have a page for each of your clients or freelance jobs.

At the bottom of the page is the Footer. At this point, it only has the 'powered by Adobe Portfolio' link that will take you to https://www.myportfolio.com/. We will add our own copyright notice and social icons later.
