Hello, and welcome back! I hope you're all finding some truly fantastic romances in your reading stack this month. Books with great stories, heroines who aren't brainless ninnies, and heroes to make your mouth water. It would be lovely if all the books we picked up were exactly what we wanted with our reading material, though I know that's not really the case, because sometimes even I pick up a book at the store and think, wow, that sounds fantastic, only it turns out not to be so great in the reading of it. I can't help wishing it were so, however. It's a nice fantasy, isn't it, to read nothing but keepers? Maybe one day.... Or not. I think the non-keepers, and even the wallbangers make us appreciate better the really, truly great romances we get our hands on.
This time out, I have something fun for those of you who like to play games that make you think: our own version of hangman. The words in our category could be just about anything to do with romance novels, including author names, romance genres, different aspects of romance novels, book titles, favorite characters, et cetera. Some things to keep in mind as you're playing the game: there are no capital letters used in the game, and no spaces in between words, though I did hyphenate a few multi-word entries to the list. I'll add more words and phrases to our current play list as I come up with them and have time--or if you have ideas, email me via the link in my bio at the top of this page.
To play the game, go here. I hope you have fun playing the game. Just make sure it doesn't cut into your reading time.
Recently added is another fun word game, the scramble. You can play that one here. Have fun, and good luck!
Until next time, happy reading and writing!
