Ragnarok MMORPG

Looking for a MMORPG which is fun to play and has an anime style? Check out the Ragnarok MMORPG, which is now in full release!

First, the graphics. They aren't photo-realistic like some other games are aiming for. Instead, they make you feel like you're controlling a VERY nicely drawn animated movie. I'll be posting lots of screenshots for you to look at - but here is just one sample -

I love the detailed leaves on the trees, the cute little hopping pink monsters, the awesome cities and towns and ports and other areas you explore. It's a visual feast.

Next, of course, the gameplay. Pretty much all MMORPGs have similar gameplay nowadays - you go around hacking at things or doing whatever it is your character does (cast spells, create items, etc) and you gain experience for it. Ragnarok has it all - monsters to kill, quests to go on, teams to join, new weapons and skills to learn. Mostly it comes down to finding a great bunch of people to play with and enjoying the experience!

Ragnarok does a great job of adding in cool little extras. Take the poring for example - that's the pink blob. He's cute enough just as a creature and he hops around pretty innocently. But he's actually a scavenger that leaps in and steals treasure when he sees it! So if you kill a poring, 10 of his buddies come hopping over to grab the treasure - and you never know just what you'll find in one!

Some mosters are solitary, some come running to help out their buddies in need. Some are passive, some are aggressive. All have their own unique personalities. Again, it really makes it more like you're in a movie than just on a hack-and-slash mission.

The environment is the real beauty, though. You and your friends can go pretty much to any MMORPG and have fun together, chatting, questing to build up experience points, gaining money to buy new things. The main thing each MMORPG offers is the 'world' in which you do those things - with its sights, sounds and feel. Ragnarok is perfect for gamers who enjoy anime and comics!
