You won’t receive anything you didn’t sign up for—no newsletters from other editors, no ads, nothing but my newsletter and any others you choose to subscribe to.

The Writing site at BellaOnline focuses on nonfiction. Each week you’ll receive an article on how to write and publish nonfiction, improve your grammar, punctuation, and vocabulary, or cope with the everyday challenges of the professional writer. There is a forum where you can ask questions, share ideas with other writers, and let others know what you’ve learned in your time as a writer. You can even debate issues important to authors. Advances? Writing for free? Self-publishing? Make your opinion heard.

When I get settled in, there may even be a weekly chat, for more hands-on Q and A, and for that much needed author socialization. Meet your fellow authors and share resources.

Who am I? I am the author of two traditionally published books, one currently on the shelf and one on the way. The currently available book received positive reviews from Publisher’s Weekly and other major reviewers. This is my second writing career. My first was started when my children were small, and resulted in a good number of published short stories and articles, with a focus on religious, educational, and historical writing. I took an eight year hiatus to concentrate on homeschooling my children and just as I was considering returning, a publisher found my work here at BellaOnline and invited me to write my first book under contract. Now that my children are all grown, I’m settling into a full-time writing career.
