Personal Style of Women Over Forty

Every year that goes by should improve a woman's self-image. The more we experience life, the more self-confidence is gained and fewer frivolous worries should occupy our time. The years after the age of forty call for taking time to develop a personal style, and not settling into a hairstyle that someone else thinks a mature woman should be wearing.

I call your attention to these women. They are all beautiful women with a few things in common. They all they are all over forty, they are beautiful and have a sense of their own style.
As you can see, not one of them has settled for a dated, old woman hairstyle and it is obvious that they like fun, sexy hair.

What makes a style fun and sexy? Length has little to do with it.
Although many of these women are wearing longer styles, long hair doesn't necessarily mean younger or 'more attractive.' A great style suits your face shape but also fits your self-image. The ingredients of making any length hair gorgeous is in the condition, shaping and styling.

Shaping and Styling: First, find an accomplished hairstylist. When you call for an appointment let the receptionist know that you would like extra time for a consultation. Don't shrink from making your desires clear. Your style should reflect who you are and how you feel about life. Take your time in describing the kind of look you want. You will want to make it clear what styles you don't like as well as the ones you do.

This tip works for most women who are over forty. Wear less hair on your forehead. This may be accomplished be brushing your hair off your forehead, shortening your bangs or textuizing them so that they create a soft fringe.

Ask your hairstylist for styling tips and refer to Hairstyles for Women Over Forty.

Shine: Get rid of dull or drab hair. This may call for a vibrant color that flatters your skin tones. Regular professional care will keep your color at its best. Keep chemical treatments to a safe minimum with your hairdresser's supervision and increase conditioning treatments.

"A woman's always younger than a man of equal years."
