This young lady has ULTRA thick hair! To give her style some shape, it was first cut to just below her shoulders. Then the interior of the hairstyle was layered. The layers start at about chin level and graduate downward.The layers are cut at a steep angle from the chin level downward to cause the hair to lay closer to her neck. The style is finished by employing a lot of texturizing. This is the only way to create shape in the style. This texture is created by point cutting to take out one quarter inch chunks throughout the bottom half of the hair.
After blowing dry, a flat iron is used to take some of the body out of the lower portion, causing it to lay closer to her neck. A large curling iron is used to put some curve into the top portion and the style is finished using Jingles Jam Pomade to add separation, control and shine.
