If I told you, “You control how positively or negatively you want to live life and it all begins with your choices,” would you believe me? You have within you today the power to control how you choose to manage the challenges in your life. Trust me when I say, the choices you’re making today will impact and influence the way you’ll live your life tomorrow.
“Life” happens. You can’t stop the trials, turmoil’s and tribulations of living life. Facing the challenges is a part of being a living breathing human being.
There are some things though that you do have the power to control:
- You can control your reaction to what’s happening around you.
- You have the emotional power to decide how you want to handle the past, present and future.
- You control the conscious choices to either be reactive or proactive with the challenges and transitions of life.
- You have the power to control your actions.
Be thankful and grateful for the challenges and transitions.
- They are giving you direction
- They are proving that you’re strong
- They are helping you move toward an empowered future.
I’ve learned from personal experience that how I reacted to the challenges and transitions in my life, often determined if I would be going forward or staying within my comfort zone. I found it extremely difficult to go forward with the weight of past challenges dragging me down. At times I felt as if I kept facing the same challenges over and over until I learned how to be proactive instead of reactive.
A challenge today is really the beginning of an empowered journey toward an exciting and successful future. Each challenge, no matter how discouraging at the time, is giving you a golden opportunity to learn, grow and soar.
Wouldn’t you agree that each past challenge you’ve faced and conquered has helped shape you into the person you are today? Take the time to appreciate the lessons you’ve learned, the good things that have come from the past experiences and be thankful and appreciative of your ability to go forward in empowering ways.
Every day-to-day challenge is important because they make you stronger, wiser and more self-confident. With increased self-confidence comes the ability to take risks and come out of your comfort zone. It all begins with self-confidently believing that you can positively live an empowered and successful life.
"Difficulties are meant to rouse, not discourage. The human spirit is to grow strong by conflict." William Ellery Channing
