Hello, and welcome back! I think our second Indian Summer has come to an end. I only hope we don't get two winters to make up for enjoying this lovely weather so far into the fall season. Then again, it would give me more time to whittle down the TBR pile. Ha! As if there will never be one.

We've discussed the appeal of the bad boy previously, and this time out, I've got two new books filled with them. Yippee! First up is
Jingle Bell Rock (Brava) with novellas from Lori Foster, Janelle Denison, Susan Donovan, Donna Kauffman, Alison Kent, and Nancy Warren. A whole stockingful of bad boys. Yum. My favorite is Lori Foster's "He Sees You When You're Sleeping." Lots of fun, and super-hot. One with an intriguing twist that makes the whole story more believable is Susan Donovan's "Turning Up the Heat." The entire anthology is enjoyable, but I think those were the best stories in it. Of Cupid's five arrows, I'm borrowing three.

The other bad boys this week come in
Bad Boys to Go (Brava), with more stories from Lori Foster, Janelle Denison and Nancy Warren. What to do when the daughter you never knew you had loses her mother? In Lori Foster's "Bringing Up Baby," Gil Watson has to deal with just that--and the sexy woman who's been raising his child. Plenty of steam here to satisfy fans of the erotic romance. "The Wilde One" from Janelle Denison tells brother Adrian's story this time out, with photographer Chayse Douglas trying to persuade him to pose for her calendar. Sexy. I liked him better than his brother. And in "Going After Adam" from Nancy Warren, p.i. Gretchen Wiest finds herself in over her head when a routine cheating spouse job has hitmen chasing her and Adam Stone from San Francisco to Vegas. Getting married wasn't really in the job plan, but neither was running from men with guns. Interesting premise, and cute old people later in the story, but I wasn't convinced by the romance end of things. I'm giving this anthology four arrows, just because of Lori Foster's story.
