5) Hoi An, Vietnam
This ancient town of Hoi An is one of the oldest cities in Asia. During the 15th-17th centuries, merchants from all over the world frequented Hoi An because it was an important trading port. A good time to visit is the 15th day of each lunar month, when residents worship their ancestors and celebrate their age-old customs and traditions.

6) The Temples at Angkor, Cambodia
This lost city of Angkor was once the capital of an ancient Khmer empire. A site that never fails to awe travelers, it is made up of many temples illustrating Khmer and Hindu Art. There are many temples in Angor's 81-hectare site but the bigger and more popular ones are Angkor Wat and Bakong.

7) Halong Bay, Vietnam
Just being in Halong Bay to marvel the magnificent limestone islands is probably the best part of a trip to this UNESCO cultural heritage site. The bay contains rocks rising from the sea and "hidden" caves which has inspired many poets and writers.

8) Bangkok, Thailand
Bangkok, Southeast Asia's City of Angels, alive and vibrant 24 hours a day, is a must-visit. It offers 100-year old temples, bargain shopping adventures, a up-beat nightlife, some of the best food in Asia and so much, much more.

9) Singapore
Much known for its shopping bargains, Singapore actually offers a lot more which can be explored in just a day or two. There's the night safari, sentosa island, little India, Arab Street, China Town and if you are a night person, excellent night clubs.

10) Penang, Malaysia
Penang, small and quiet town, is also an excellent place to experience Malaysia's diverse culture. It offers beautiful beaches, exquisite architecture and a wide array of Asian dishes.
