George Street is a trio of talented artists including Gordon Kim, guitar and vocals, Gail Mack, vocals, and Steven Min, guitar and vocals. The artists are complimented with guitar and bass with sax and flute intermingle with the soothing vocals to bring out the mood of the group's music. While not "traditional" Hawaiian music, their music is their own but is influenced by their lives on the beautiful Islands and the diverse surroundings and people of Hawaii.
Two of their musical works I've had the pleasure of hearing include:
George Street's second album, "Magic Lady", combines romantic and sensitive melodies with the soothing vocal harmonies of the group create an atmosphere to sway to the music with.
George Street's album "Seasons" had it's first debut in 1991 but is still a treasure of this trios work with vocal harmonies and jazzy bits and moving rhythms.
