New Hair Product Review - Wondercap

New Hair Product Review - Wondercap
Ever tried deep conditioning your hair at home? You may have found a plastic bag or plastic wrap to cover your hair and then used a warm towel to wrap it in and keep it warm. Or you may have gone outside to sit in the sun for solar warming. I may even have suggested both of these options to you for use with conditioning treatments that require heat. It isn’t easy to orchestrate a conditioning treatment in this fashion. If you can get the towel to stay on your head, it doesn’t stay hot very long. If you are sitting outside, you risk being surprised by a friendly neighbor.

I may have found the remedy to these awkward situations. It’s called Wondercap Thermal Heat Cap. It is a full cap made of terrycloth containing a loose elastic band around the perimeter to help keep it on. Inside a pocket in the cap is an inner pillow filled with lupin seeds.

To use:
Shampoo your hair and apply your favorite conditioner.
To use Wondercap, you place it in the microwave for 3 minutes. It gets toasty warm but not too hot to handle. You then take it out and place the heated cap over your hair. The lupin seed pillow stays warm for an extending period of time. I found that it stayed warm more than long enough for a full conditioning treatment. It stayed warm well after I removed the cap and rinsed my hair.

Appearance:
Wondercap comes in white, black or pink. Mine is white. Although it is not the most fashionable headwear you will find, for those who were embarrassed to be seen wearing a plastic bag and towel headdress, the Wondercap is a very nice alternative.

Drawback:
The only negative I noticed is that the terrycloth cap may not be roomy enough for every head. My head size is medium to large. – (I realized this while hat shopping.) Wondercap did cover my conditioned hair but I didn’t feel that there was any extra room. If my head was any larger or if I had very thick long hair, it would have been a struggle to get it to fit.

Overall, I recommend Wondercap. I think it will work well with any conditioning treatment or hot oil treatment that calls for heat to be used and I thoroughly enjoyed the comfort and warmth of the terrycloth.

I used Wondercap with Tame It With Feral organic conditioning treatment. It contains Henna powder and is advertised “for wild, unruly hair”.. It left my hair moisturized, soft and shiny. This is also offered through the Wondercap website.
