Book Review- Easy Beading Vol. 7

The 7th volume of BeadStyle Magazine's Easy Beading series continues the quick and lovely projects of the series. The projects are aimed at both beginning and experienced beaders. They are quick, simple, easy to customize and build good skills and explore how to use materials that some beaders haven't tried yet. The emphasis is on near instant gratification with very wearable pieces.
The introduction covers a beader's glossary with common bead types, tools and supplies and basic beading techniques for stringing and wire links.
Each of the over 90 projects is well photographed in progress and explained in easy to read step by step detail. Some of them can be made in 15 minutes as you're getting ready to go out for an evening and all the projects can be done quickly. The few that will take more than an evening take more time because they have to cure like the Stir Up Some Sweets resin candy bracelet.
I really like the collection of projects in this book. Some of them are simple enough to do in an evening with a friend or child who's never beaded before which makes it a great source of ideas for gifts. Some of the projects use ideas and supplies which inspire ideas for me. Like the Embroidered Details earrings, which use vintage doilies but can certainly be made with little crocheted disks you make yourself.
The basic skills and techniques can be mixed up to create entirely new pieces.
Recommended for people who really appreciate quick projects, beginners who are more interested in stringing and wire work and people who want to combine craft skills with beads for mixed media pieces.
