Hello, and welcome back! Not only has the countdown to fall begun here, but the countdown to school. We're getting ready to do some shopping for that in the next few days, which will eat up a bit of my reading time, but not too much. I hope.

This time out, I have His Darkest Salvation
(Avon, received from publisher) by Juliana Stone, the third in her amazing shapeshifter series. Julian Castille needs to find the key to a portal between our world and a world of pure evil. Jaden DaCosta is his unwanted mate and currently in his way. Jaden knows that Julian hates her, despite the scorching attraction that always flares between them. How could he not, with her family? But she can't resist the desire any more than she can stop herself from breathing. Good thing she knows now that nothing will come of it, except more heartache for her. That knowledge will help her deal with him in close quarters for as long as it takes them to find the portal and save the human world. I have been in love with this series since the first book, and that hasn't changed. These are powerful, sexy heroes who will go to any lengths to do what they must, whether it's protecting the world or their mates, no matter the cost to them. Julian is dangerous and to-die-for. Jaden is strong and determined. They're a perfect match, no matter what the differences are between their families, but they have a lot of pain and distrust to overcome before they can get that happy ending. Right now I'm impatiently awaiting the next, related series from Ms. Stone, which we'll get next year. For now, I'm giving this one four and a half of Cupid's five arrows. Julian is a real keeper.
