Must Love Vampires

Guest Author - Elizabeth Darrach

Hello, and welcome back! Mother Nature did, indeed, have a good laugh at our expense with quite a substantial snowfall this weekend. It's mostly gone now, but I remember the last winter that started here in October, and it was a doozy, so I have high hopes for this year's winter season.

This time out, I have the latest from Heidi Betts, Must Love Vampires (Brava, received from author). This one features two pairs of siblings, one vampire, one human. Charlotte, aka Chuck, Lamoureaux is determined to dig up the dirt on the mysterious brother of her sister's hot new boyfriend. Sebastian Raines has managed quite nicely to keep his private life private, and he has no intention of letting the tabloid writing Chuck spread his secrets around publicly. But he has no idea just how irresistible he's going to find her once he gets her into his home. Chuck's sister Chloe is a single mom who may just have met the perfect man in Aidan Raines. She just has no idea exactly what he is until after they share "I do's". Chuck and Sebastian are so much fun, sparring and dancing around the truth, not to mention the vampire is hot! Chloe and Aidan have already fallen in love, but Aidan is going to have to work hard to keep her once he admits the truth about himself. I can always count on Heidi Betts's work to keep me entertained during the reading, and her stories have enough heat to keep any reader warm through an early-season snowstorm. I will say I liked Sebastian and Chuck better, simply because they hadn't yet fallen in love when we meet them, and falling along with them is so much fun. Aidan is endearing, though, with his determination to keep the woman he loves, even if it means sharing dangerous secrets. These pairs are a simply fantastic way to spend a chilly fall afternoon, even if you haven't gotten the snow we did this weekend. I'm borrowing four of Cupid's five arrows for this one. I hope you enjoy them as much as I did!

Until next time, happy reading!
