One Day One Deal Sales Woot

One Day One Deal Sales Woot
Great deals, sales, discounts, by any name, they're sought after by everyone, all the time. There is an expanding array of sites utilizing the concept of one day, one deal. Instead of offering a variety of items, these sites offer a single item for one day at what is supposed to be a deeply discounted price.

One of the first sites to implement this sales concept was Woot.com. Like many other one day sale sites Woot has expanded their market by developing additional one day sale sites that specialize in a particular area. In addition to Woot.com where you never know what might be offered as the deal of the day, Woot has added shirt.woot, kids.woot, home.woot, Wine.Woot, and sellout.woot.

Each site follows the same formula as Woot.com of one deal a day. Kids.woot may include anything from toys to clothes to a grill cheese pan. Shirt.Woot offers a different specialty T-shirt every day. Wine.woot is often wine, but can also include cheeses, chocolates and a variety of wine related merchandise. Home.Woot may be anything from a vacuum cleaner to furniture, if it’s for the home it can end up on Home.Woot. Both Woot.com and Sellout.Woot offer a variety of items.

Part of the Woot experience is realizing you really need an item you didn’t even know existed until you checked the daily deal. I recently made my first Woot purchase, a pair of small purple and gray Stanley Tool Bags. Not only was I not looking for a pair of tool bags, I didn’t even know Stanley made a line of tool bags for women. After reading the comments left by other Woot members I realized the bags had a variety of great uses including lunch bags, sewing kit, knitting bag, etc. After doing a little price checking, I discovered that one bag would cost twice the price as Woot was asking for two.

Ordering was quick and easy, although you should be aware that items can sellout while you are trying to complete the registration process and enter your payment information. Shipping is a flat $5 fee no matter how many or what you buy. Compared with many vendors the shipping was a little slow, taking almost two weeks to arrive.

I now have a pretty lunch bag that’s sturdy and small, but still has lots of room and new sewing bag. My one regret was that I didn’t order more. That is one of the pitfalls of one day deals. If you want more, you’re out of luck and if you don’t like the item you’re stuck with it.

Woot does occasionally offer more than one deal a day, during what they call a Woot Off. During a Woot Off you will see flashing lights next to the item and multiple items will be offered at random times during the day. Some great deals are offered during a Woot Off, but the good stuff can go fast.
