Quick Blog Post IdeasMany are short on time in the summer months but if your goal is to keep your blog current and up-to-date with content than you need a short list of ideas to turn to. Here are a number of ideas you can turn to in just those times. Best of Lists Write a post filled with the best of your topic or niche. It could be a general list, or a list that links back to previous posts on a given topic. Share posts from the same time last year if a seasonal topic would do or share a list of product or media reviews to bump up sales. Invite readers to select their favorites. Blog Carnival Participate in a blog carnival. Write an informational post on the blog carnival you are participating in with a link to the blog carnival’s home page at the host site, and then share a post you’ve previously written that fits in the carnival’s topic. Find a Guest Blogger Invite a guest blogger or bloggers to share a post on your blog. This is perfect if you are going to be away on vacation or need a break, but don’t have it in you to write a week or more worth of posts in advance. Share Your Current Reading List This is great if you are into affiliate marketing and have an Amazon Affiliate account. Share your recent reading list, your past read recommendations or what you want to read next. Invite readers to share their lists in the comments. Conduct a Reader Poll Find a widget or plugin, or invite readers to answer relevant questions in the comment section. Find out what your readers think about important issues in your blog’s category. Cover Comment Content Review your blog's comments and create posts highlighting answers to frequently asked questions or new posts on ideas generated from user comments. Start a Meme Yes, it may be old-blog school, but meme’s can be fun and personable. For great meme ideas to cure writer's block visit Blogging Memes. Start a Blog Series Is there a topic you can cover in such detail that it warrants its own series? Outline a number of topics you can cover in two or more posts. Assign Short Topics to Standard Day Schedule a day or two a week for short blog topics you can do in advance to allow time for you to write other well-researched blog topics for a post or post series. An example is Wordless Wednesday when many bloggers post an image instead of an actual post. Share your blogthusiasm! Share your ideas for writer's block in our blog forum.
