Affiliate Product Marketing Through Blog Memes
There is no written rule that you cannot market products on your blog when you are having fun. Blog memes are for fun, but let’s bump it up a notch and try to earn some affiliate money. Amazon sells a variety of products so if you aren’t already a member of their affiliate program sign-up today.
The best way to write an affiliate blog meme is to target a niche category. Your use of specific keywords to that niche as opposed to a blog post talking about too many types of products generates better search engine optimization (SEO).
Start with existing blog memes that are out there. Many have a theme of some sort. Shorten or lengthen one to suit your needs. Don’t overwhelm your readers and create a top 20 list, you want them to read each item. If someone comes to your blog site via a search engine keyword search, you want them to easily find the affiliate link they came for as well without bouncing back out of your website. Find a number you like and advertise that many products.
Suggested meme themes:
Stranded on an island meme – name three books or three must have items you would want to be stranded with.
Themed movie meme – name three movies that make you laugh, make you cry, scare you to death, represent a genre or era in movie making or represent the best work of any director, actor or actress.
Themed book or music meme – same as movie meme, insert books or music instead.
Favorite fragrances by season – sell candles or wax melts for the home.
Favorite food mixes or recipes – share a favorite food product and personalize it. This is great for food company party plan consultants. Share must haves for a food gift basket.
Poor gift choices – what I really wanted to give mom, dad, spouse, siblings etc. Get silly and share the novelty items you’d love to gift to the special or not so special someone in your life. Then share the boring practical item you gifted instead.
Silly memes – what I wouldn’t wear in public, favorite toys from childhood etc.
Make sure each meme is fun and each answer is a mini product review in a personable voice. If you already have published blog memes on your blog, review them to see if you can update them with affiliate information. If any meme isn’t suited for affiliate promotion, no worries, take the opportunity to link a meme to another meme to cross promote your meme posts.
