Crazy Patchwork Stitch Dictionaries
Crazy Patchwork is one of my favourite genres of Patchwork and Quilting, and I especially love the combination of stitches that are used in Crazy Patchwork.
I am fortunate to have several publications that have been my “library” of stitches that I use over and over. Here’s a list of the books I own that contain useful diagrams and instructions for many, many interesting combinations of embroidery stitches suitable for crazy patchwork.
Crazy Quilting – The Complete Guide by J.Marsha Michler
Elegant Stitches by Judith Baker Montano & Floral Stitches by Judith Baker Montano
The Embroidery Stitch Bible by Betty Barnden
Motifs for Crazy Quilting by J.Marsha Michler
Quilt Savvy Embroidery Stitches by Joan Waldman
You will be interested to know that there are a few very good Embroidery Stitch Dictionaries on the web that offer stitch diagrams and instructions free of charge. Here’s a list I’ve collated for you:
from Loopy Lace
From Sharon Boggon (this is my favourite website)
from Pretty Impressive Stuff
from Needle Crafter
from Needlework Tips and Techniques
from Kimberley Quimet
from Sarah’s Hand Embroidery
from Johanna’s Needlework Stitches
from the Heritage Shoppe
from Victorian Embroidery and Crafts
from Craft and Fabric Links
from the Embroiderers Guild
Have fun browsing these fabulous stitch dictionary websites.
