School For Scoundrels

School For Scoundrels
Roger is a city parking meter attendant who is unlucky at everything. At Ian’s encouragement, he enrolls in a secret class that helps to build the confidence of its students, run by the very abrupt Dr. P and his notorious right hand man, Lesher. But when Roger begins to excel at the class, Dr. P makes it his mission to make Roger’s like even more miserable than before. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching “School for Scoundrels”.

· During the paintball scene, Roger is hit while they’re standing around the picnic table. He falls to the ground and is on his stomach. When Dr. P tells them to spread out, the closer view shows Roger on his right side (where he’s shot again). It cuts to an overhead view and Roger is already on his knees, getting to his feet.

· After the paintball game, all of the guys are in the bar celebrating. Eli is singing karaoke. His hands are on the microphone when they tell Roger that Dr. P wants to talk to him alone. But when it cuts to the close-up of Eli, he’s not touching the microphone at all.

· After Amanda and Roger go out, she brings him back to his apartment. When he’s on the bed, as he sits up to ask if she thinks he a lion, the clock over his left shoulder switches from 11:38 to 11:39. When he tells her he loves her before she leaves, the clock reads 11:38 again.

· Ian and Roger are talking after getting hot dogs. They sit on the park bench and the close-up of Ian shows his hotdog has been bitten. A few moments later when he asks “are you kidding” and puts the hotdog down, it’s completely intact.

· Roger goes to Amanda’s apartment with flowers and Becky answers the door. Her hair falls in front of her left shoulder but when she asks “what play”, her hair falls behind her shoulder. It cuts to a close-up of Roger when he mentions the Billy Joel musical and back to Becky. Her hair is back in front of her shoulder. It’s behind again when she says “I don’t know” and back in front when she tells him Amanda is out.

“School for Scoundrels” (2006) stars Jon Heder, Billy Bob Thornton, Jacinda Barrett, Michael Clarke Duncan, Sarah Silverman, David Cross, Horatio Sanz, Todd Louiso and Ben Stiller. It runs 100 minutes and is rated PG-13 for language, crude and sexual content and some violence.
