I believe Vision Boards can ignite the powerful inner motivators within us. I’ve discovered an interesting computer generated Vision Board system that can help keep your goals and vision in clear view, whether you’re in front of your computer or not. It’s pretty interesting.
Sometimes, it’s hard to teach an old dog new tricks – I’m the old dog and a computer generated Vision Board system is the new trick. In my mind, a “true” Vision Board consists of poster board, pictures, motivational sayings and a handy glue stick. When I was introduced to the OrangePeel Systems computer generated Vision Board System I was skeptical and reluctant. I understood the concept but I couldn’t see myself using it.Conceptually I understood the value of having a computer generated Vision Board – a Vision Board available as a screen saver can be extremely appealing but was it worth my time, energy and money?
I did my research and here is my review-
I was introduced to the OrangePeel Vision Board System a few years ago, in fact my husband has this program on his computer. Every time I’d walk by I’d take a look at the pictures and sayings, so I asked him what was so appealing and here’s what he told me:
1. He wrote his own affirmations and they pop up when the board is on the screen – he found that he’s gotten to the point where he’s actually affirming them unconsciously. They also have an affirmation library of prewritten affirmations.
2. It was easy to set up on his computer and easy to build the Vision Board. They have an unlimited library of images and he added some photos of us on vacation.
3. Since he likes music, he added his own MP3 music as the background Vision Board music. He said that if he wanted to, he could record and add his own voice actually saying his affirmations.
4. He can print off his Vision Board to carry around with him. He can also have a “mini” version on his cell phone, PDA or iPod.
5. There’s a Vision Board Recorder that gives him the capability to record his Vision Board as a movie and play it back on YouTube or his blog.
I looked and I listened and I have to admit I was impressed. I’m not a computer “geek” and turning on the computer can sometimes be a challenge for me. So, I bit the bullet and spent $59 on the Vision Board System. It was easy to install and my Vision Board was easy and fun to create. I haven’t done anything fancy like the movie yet, but I’ve added some royalty free “motivational” music that plays when my Vision Board comes on screen.
I was pleasantly surprised when I ordered the Vision Board System, I also received a downloadable workbook called “Vision Board Fundamentals” as a bonus – it is a real resource of information. If you’re new to creating Vision Boards, this book/workbook will help you get off to the right start.
I’m impressed with my computer Vision Board - for me it is a keeper.
