Halloween (1978)

Halloween (1978)
After being institutionalized for fifteen years for murdering his sister, Michael Myers escapes and heads back to Haddonfield. But with Dr. Loomis on his trail, Michael Myers’ plans for murder and mayhem on Halloween may not go as planned. Here are a few movie mistakes to look for while watching 1978’s “Halloween”.

· Laurie and Tommy are walking on the sidewalk towards the Myers’ house so she can drop off the key. The close-up view of the house when Tommy says “the Myers’ house”, shows the top portion of the window to the right of the screen is missing. The window next to it is boarded up. But when it cuts to a wider view of Laurie and Tommy walking to the front, the upper part of the right window has glass and the reflection of the tree can be seen in it.

· When Laurie and Tommy are sitting on the sofa and she’s explaining that Halloween night is the time when people plays tricks on each other, her right leg is down on the sofa. But in the view of the two of them when he says “there was” and she asks “what did he look like”, her right leg is propped up with her knee near her face. It’s back down in the next close-up.

· Laurie is inside the house. When she grabs the door handle to go outside, the handle is on her right. The handle should be on the opposite side (her left) when she’s outside but once she’s on the porch and when she’s banging on the door trying to get back in, the handle on the outside is on her right.

· CAUTION: May Contain Spoilers! When Laurie stabs Michael in the closet and he falls, there is a purple shirt that’s handing in the closet. It cuts to Laurie and back to the clothes that were hanging up, and it’s a white shirt with flowers that’s showing.

“Halloween” (1978) stars Donald Pleasance, Jamie Lee Curtis, P.J. Soles, Brian Andrews and Tony Moran. It runs 91 minutes and is rated R for disturbing horror violence, language, sexual content including brief nudity and some drug content.
